Part 2 of Taryn and Greg’s wedding at Kirstenbosch and this is my favourite part! Typical of Cape Town this ‘summer’ it started looking like it was going to rain just as we finished the family shots and started with the couple shoot, instead we got a nice bit of cloud cover and soft light to play with. I have to admit that I love a Jewish wedding reception, they party and celebrate like no one else can (and I’ve been at weddings where people party). So besides the fact that I thought for two days that I had a broken toe (a stiletto came crushing down on it) and cracked a lens hood (thank heavens I had a lens hood on, otherwise I might have lost a lens) the dancing shots are my favourite reception shots that I’ve ever done!

Get another cup of tea, put some music on and enjoy!

Trend spotting: Live bands and wedding singers are definitely appearing more and more at weddings. Can not begin to tell you what a BIG difference it makes in the atmosphere at a wedding reception. Definitely worth having a look into if you are a bride currently planning your wedding.
