Meet Lisa & Garth, they’re getting married at the end of this month and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding! There are two reasons for this, firstly, they were fantastic in front of the camera and secondly they’re having a day wedding which I love!

We headed out to Newlands Forest very early on a Sunday morning, after I shot a wedding the day before, and it felt a bit like I had a hangover walking up the mountain even though I didn’t have a drink the previous night. The light was perfect and Lisa and Garth are just natural and themselves in front of the camera, and I soon forgot about my ‘hangover’ when I started seeing some of the images that we were getting.

A tip for all brides and grooms to be: If you’re a bit nervous of having your photos done at your wedding, arrange for a pre-wedding shoot with your photographer. It’s a great way to see your photographer in action and get an idea of what to expect on your wedding day. When the big day arrives you’ll feel more relaxed and yourself when being photographed and you can focus on your family and friends instead of worrying about the shots your photographer is capturing.
