One of the reasons I live near water is the fact that one this side of the country the sun sets into the ocean at the end of each day. And every now and again we’re blessed with a sunset that is so golden that you can almost smell it…I have no idea what a sunset smells like, but it makes you feel at peace and thankful for the day you just experienced. Sunday was one of those evenings. After a fantastic weekend with amazing people, mother nature gave us a performance that’s very difficult to beat. If there was an Oscar for sunsets, then this one would’ve been a sure win!

* A little side note: These shots are SOTC (Straight Out The Camera). They haven’t seen Photoshop, they were just sharpened a little in Lightroom and that was it, didn’t touch saturation, contrast, colour balance…nothing! This is exactly how it was.

That’s the moon up there. At first I thought it was a bird, but nope, that’s the moon a.k.a. Assistant Director to the sun.
