The shoots, photos and people as they come through my life.
Images that I love and little sneak peaks at what I’m editing at the moment is what you’ll find here…
I first met Charl and Angela in 2012 at Jill and Richard’s wedding, then I bumped into them again in Gauteng at Rene and Jacques’ wedding in 2013. Never would I have known that the circle of friends that I met back in 2012 would be partying it up at Ntida Wine Estate in 2015 at Charl and Angela’s wedding.
I knew from the start that this will be a great celebration and if anyone needs to teach their guest list on how to enjoy a wedding they just need to get in touch with anyone who was at this wedding. If they could, they would have gone through to sunrise!
Charl and Angela, it was an absolute pleasure and honour to be part of your wedding day, I won’t forget Angela walking down the isle for a long time and seeing Charl’s face when she came around the tree! I wish you many many happy years together. Enjoy your photos.
A little preview of what I’ve been seeing on my screen this week. Angela and Charl tied the knot at Ntida Wine Estate in Durbanville at the end of January.
Their full post is coming next week, with loads of special moments!
Charl & Angela, I hope you enjoy the preview on your first Valentine’s as a married couple!
Cafe Felix in Riebeek Kasteel was Dean and Michelle’s choice for their wedding celebration, and I don’t think they could’ve chosen a better spot. The weather played along perfectly, with a hot sunny day with a light breeze.
When I first shot their engagement shoot in 2014 I realised that their wedding was going to be amazing as they told me about all the ideas they had for the big day. They didn’t disappoint and the day ran smoothly and the decor fit in perfectly with the venue and them.
I can’t think of a better way to end a crazy busy week by going through Dean and Michelle’s wedding photos and putting up a few of them here as a teaser of what’s coming on Tuesday!
Shot in my favourite little town, Riebeek Kasteel, on a hot Saturday in the summer. It was also the first wedding of this year and didn’t disappoint at all! Welcome back from Austria guys and enjoy the teaser.
I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end of 2014’s weddings! Bryn and Stef had the perfect wedding day at Jonkershuis, Groot Constantia, organised and put together perfectly by Gina’s Events. I always enjoy working with Gina and always highly recommend her to all bride’s looking for a planner who knows what they’re doing.
Their ceremony was at Brooke Chapel at Bishops and had a special connection as Stef’s great grandfather was principle of Bishops. A very special ceremony and the first time that I shot a wedding where the chapel was named after the bride’s family. For the reception, we moved through to Jonkershuis at Groot Constantia, where Gina created a magical intimate environment and exceeded all expectations.
Stef and Bryn, thank you for being such an amazing couple to photograph. I won’t forget our spider incident in the vineyard soon and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at a wedding! Stay awesome and I’ll see you again soon.
Enjoy your moments!
A little preview of what’s coming from Stef and Bryn’s amazing wedding at Jonkershuis at Groot Constantia! A fantastic Cape Town wedding to end a year of wonderful weddings in South Africa.
Shaun and Maria travelled with friends and family from Australia to come get married at Hout Bay Manor in Hout Bay. I don’t think they could’ve had a better venue for their wedding. With accommodation, ceremony and reception all together in one property made jumping between the two taking photographs as they were getting ready super easy and so much easier than driving from venue to venue.
They wanted to spend the most time possible with their guests and for that reason we did a first look couple shoot before the wedding ceremony. It definitely saved us from spending too much time away from the guests after the ceremony. For the first look Shaun waited for Maria on Hout Bay beach, the wind was howling and the temperature dropped a bit, but the trooper that Maria is not once complained, even though I could see she was freezing!
Shaun and Maria, it was an absolute pleasure taking your wedding photographs and I wish you all the best for your new journey together. You’ve got a great bunch of Instagram-addicted friends who I know will support you all the way! I included a few photos of them taking selfies or sneaking photos of you! #shaunlovesmaria
Here are a few of your moments from that amazing day in November. Enjoy!
It was a perfect summer’s day in Riebeek Kasteel, not too hot, a light breeze to keep everything cool and a perfect couple who gathered all of their closest friends and family to celebrate their wedding with them.
Their venue of choice was Cafe Felix in Riebeek Kasteel and if you haven’t been yet, I can definitely recommend taking a drive through and having lunch there, the food is out of this world. Nadja did the decor for the wedding herself and I was amazed at all the detail and everything that she brought together without over-cluttering the tables…something that can so easily happen at weddings.
The ceremony was filled with laughs and even if it went on for an hour I don’t think anyone would’ve minded, followed by an amazing couple shoot that just flowed from moment to moment and these two getting lost in each other. Dancing and musical chairs went on through the night fuelled by awesome carrot cupcakes (I had to try one!)
Sergio and Nadja, congratulations on a stunning day and on your new journey together and thank you for trusting me with your memories, here are a few of them, enjoy!
What a way to start a weekend and end a busy week! This is what I’ve been looking at on my screen for most of the week and finally I get to share a little bit of it before the full post goes up next week.
Nadja and Sergio chose Cafe Felix in Riebeek Kasteel as the perfect spot to tie the knot and they couldn’t have asked for a better day and I couldn’t have asked for better clients. Definitely a wedding I won’t forget in a long time.
Meet Ilana and Stefan, one of my first weddings for the new wedding season. They chose Waterkloof Estate in Somerset West as the perfect spot to tie the knot and I don’t think they could’ve chosen any better. The views from their are breathtaking and worth the drive if you haven’t been there before.
Friends and family came from all over to witness and celebrate with them and it truly is amazing to see two people so in love with each other.
Ilana and Stefan, thank you for making me a part of your wedding and I hope these photos will remind you of the amazing day it was!
